Mission Statement
To provide all nurses and other allied health professionals the opportunity to unite as a group, to share and provide ideas of interest, and to become effectively involved with the issues and services relevant to the health and welfare of the Haitian communities in the Tampa Bay area as well as central Florida countries
Vision
The Haitian American Nurses Association of Tampa, Inc. will be the premiere professional nursing organization for all nursing and allied health professionals of Haitian-descent in the Tampa Bay area as well as central Florida counties. It will foster an environment of professional growth, camaraderie, philanthropy, charity, network and collaboration, and serve as an inspiration to future Haitian-American nursing professionals here and abroad.
About Us
HANA of Tampa, Inc.: Haitian American Nurses Association (HANA) of Tampa, Inc. was founded in March of 2014 by Ms. Shakema Doreus, RN, BSN, MHA. Ms. Doreus is a Miami native, who made Tampa Bay her home after receiving her BSN from the University of South Florida.
